About Footcare for Life
Maninder Bharj Payne BSc (Hons) MRCop HCPC Reg
I graduated from the University of Northampton with an upper second class honours degree in Podiatric
Medicine. Since
qualifying I have worked both privately and in the NHS, in both clinical and domiciliary settings.
A strong relationship between patient and podiatrist is paramount. I spend time developing the necessary
treatment plans
tailored to each individual and maintain sound links with doctors and health professionals. Creating a
friendly and
professional environment that is able to offer a variety of podiatric disciplines at a consistently high
standard is of
utmost importance.
As well as routine podiatry treatments, I am able to undertake Biomechanical Assessments and Gait
Analysis to help treat
sports injuries and postural abnormalities. Podopeadiatrics, which is the assessment and diagnosis of
paediatric foot
disorders, is a discipline that I have an interest in.
I am registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council and a member of the Society of chiropodist
and
podiatrists. I maintain my commitment to podiatry by being a member of RCOP by attending various courses
and keeping up
with the continued professional development as required by the HCPC. I have also undertaken research which
has been
published in medical journals.
I like to take a holistic approach to work and home life. When outside of work, I enjoy practising yoga
which I often
use to advise patients on stretching. I enjoy travelling and take an active interest in other cultures and
foods. Like
every other girl, I enjoy shopping and believe no one can have too many pairs of shoes!

Quality of care: The principal aim is to provide a professional and friendly service
catering to all your footcare
needs.
There is no difference between a chiropodist and podiatrist. The term podiatrist is
the internationally recognised word,
where as the word chiropodist was primarily used in the UK, however this is now changing. Practitioners
who call
themselves chiropodists and podiatrists must be registered with the Health and Care Professionals
Council.
Podiatrists can help to reduce pain, aid mobility, help foot function, improve
tissue viability and generally make us
feel better and more comfortable. A podiatrist can help anyone of any age from small children to the
elderly with a
range of treatments.
